Summer Happenings

I can't believe that it's  already July! The summer is already like 1/3 of the way over.  It's been a really great summer so far and we have been able to do a lot of fun things! For my birthday Brenn threw me a surprise party at the park! It was embarrassing at first.... but then it was really fun.  He invited a lot of friends and family and we had a BBQ.  Everyone kept telling me how long he had been planning it and all the had work he put into it to put it all together, I love him lots!

Also, the weekend before, I got to go to Las Vegas and visit my sister and her kids with my mom.

 Emmy's hair does amazing things.

Then a couple of days ago my good friends Catie, Mallory, and Kate took me and Nicki (who now works at Nexus with me :) Yay!! ) to Provo beach resort for our birthday! We were going to do the ropes course, but seeing as they required shoes and not flip flops and seeing as none of wear actual (except maybe Mallory) we did Miniature Croquet instead.  That game is much  more complicated than you might think so we make up our own rules, like closed eyes, or having to hit the ball backwards.  Very fun.
It's been a great summer so far!!

Zions

I have not been to Zions since I was little and I remember it being so cool.  So for Brennon's spring break this year we decided to go spend the weekend down there, and it was such a good idea! The first night we got there and we camped in our tent and watched Megamind on our laptop (really funny by the way).  It was super windy and our tent kept almost blowing away while we were setting it up but luckily it was still pretty warm.  The next day we started off by first going on the little hike called Wheeping Rock.
Then we went on Angel's Landing.  Before going on this Brennon is telling me how quite a few people have died on this hike over the years because near the end of it is narrow and there are cliffs on both sides of you.  Seeing that I was disturbed by this and was considering not going on the hike he reassuringly told me not to worry because it does not happen often, just sometime if a big gust of wind comes and you are not holding on to the chain rope that some people have been blown off.  So just hold onto the rope! Somehow I didn't find this very comforting...... but I decided to brave the hike anyway and I was glad that I did.  It was gorgeous!!

The last hike we went on was to the Emerald Pools, also very pretty.

We went out to eat that night and stayed in a hotel  by Zoins and then went shopping in St. George the next day.  On our way home we of course stopped to see Marti.  He is a Zebra that lives in Scipio and I am in love with him.  I found this shirt for cheap when we went shopping and I had to get it so that I could get a picture with Marti. It was a good ending to our fun trip!
